Submission
Submit a proposal
You must be registered as an author on the Journal portal to submit a manuscript and to monitor the status of the proposals you already submitted. To begin submitting a proposal, click on Make a Proposal in the menu on the right.
When submitting a proposal, authors should follow the Journal's Editorial Norms and prepare the following materials:
- a file in “.docx” or “.odt” format that is strictly anonymous (omitting/deleting the author's name wherever it occurs in the title, body of the text, notes, file names and extensions, etc.), containing the text of the manuscript including title, abstract, bibliography, figures, tables and musical examples. Authors are invited to use the templates (in ITA or ENG) provided by the Journal.
- a “.pdf” version of the same file.
- a cover letter, to be included in the “Comments for Editor” field upon submission in the online platform. This cover letter should contain:
(1) the names, institutional affiliations and contact information of all authors,
(2) a brief statement of the main original contribution proposed in the article (maximum one paragraph),
(3) in the case of proposals with multiple authors, a statement indicating the contribution made by each Author (e.g., according to CRediT criteria). This Contribution Statement will be published alongside the manuscript in case of final acceptance.
(4) where appropriate, a statement confirming that the necessary permissions have been obtained for the use of copyrighted material and for the involvement of human participants in empirical studies, including appropriate forms of informed consent and/or approval by a research ethics committee.
Proposals lacking these requirements will not be eligible for consideration.
