Master Universitario di I Livello in Analisi e Teoria Musicale Dodicesima Edizione A.A. 2025-2026

Abstract

The Master's Degree in Music Theory and Analysis was born in 2014 from a project of the Italian Society of Music Theory and Analysis (GATM), and is promoted by the Department of Humanistic Studies of the University of Calabria in collaboration with the Italian Society of Analysis and Music Theory (GATM), the Liszt Institute Foundation, the Department of Educational Sciences of the University of Bologna, the “L. D'Annunzio” Conservatory of Music in Pescara and the “G. Martucci” Conservatory of Music in Salerno.

The educational offer of the new edition of the Master's program (A.A. 2025-26) has been further enriched over the years and combines the overarching goala of presenting and deepening the study of the main analytical methodologies used in the international musicological literature, bringing the participants closer to the world of research, and extending the target of possible interested parties to the fields of ethnomusicology, jazz and popular music as well.
