Author Biography

Antonio Grande, Conservatorio di Como

Antonio Grande studied with F. Donatoni and M. De Natale. Director of the journal Ratm since 2018, currently directs the Open Access journals Analitica and Musical Analysis. GATM International Project (Mimesis). Among his recent publications: “Neo-Riemannian analysis of Liszt’s Un Sospiro: A glance into the future” in B. Chapkanov (ed.), Transformational Analysis in Practice, Vernon Press 2023; “Temporal Perspectives in Scriabin’s Late Music” in Kallis & Smith (eds), Demystifying Scriabin, Boydell & Brewer 2022, Una rete di ascolti. Dinamica delle strutture musicali in età tonale (Aracne 2020), the first study in Italy on this recent analytical approach; “Il moto e la quiete” (Aracne 2011).
He has participated as a speaker in numerous international conferences. Among the most recent: Música Analítica (Coimbra 2023, member of the Scientific Committee), HarMa Seminar Event (Gdansk, 2023), EuroMAC 2021 (Moscow), Análisis e Interpretación (Barcelona, 2020), etc.
He has conducted Erasmus teaching activities at numerous European Conservatories (Malaga, Valencia, Seville, Mannheim, Riga, Tallinn), as well as at Yasar University in Izmir (2015), the University of Nicosia (2023), and the Imola Music Academy (2024).
He is a lecturer in the Master's program in Music Analysis and Theory at the University of Calabria.
