Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The manuscript is accompanied by a cover letter reporting: (1) the names, affiliations and contact details of all authors, (2) a short statement of the main original contribution offered by the paper, and, if applicable, (3) a statement that all stakeholders' permissions have been acquired for the use of any copyrighted material as well as for the involvement of human participants in empirical studies, including ethics approval from a IRB if appropriate. The cover letter should be inserted in the "Comments to the Editor" field.
- The text conforms to the formatting and bibliographic requirements stated in the Guidelines for submissions and in the Editorial guidelines.
- The submission has not been published as copyrighted material in other journals (cf. Authors' duties)
Articles
Contributions within the aims and scope of the Journal. Authors are welcome to include multimedia materials such as audio/video in mp3/mp4 formats, or as links to online resources (e.g., YouTube).
Papers - Case studies
Analytical contributions dedicated to a particular theme or object, maximum length 2.000 words.
Papers - Essays
Theoretical and methodological contributions, maximum length 4.000 words.
Interventi - Didattica
Interventi brevi su tematiche inerenti la didattica. Lunghezza massima 2.000 parole.
Reviews
Maximum length: 4.000 words
Tesi di laurea
Lavori di approfondimento riguardanti i temi della storia della musica e dei repertori delle culture occidentali, con rilevanti riferimenti alla teoria e all'analisi musicale.
