Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

• The manuscript is accompanied by a cover letter reporting: (1) the names, affiliations and contact details of all authors, (2) a short statement of the main original contribution offered by the paper, and, if applicable, (3) a statement that all stakeholders' permissions have been acquired for the use of any copyrighted material as well as for the involvement of human participants in empirical studies, including ethics approval from a IRB if appropriate. The cover letter should be inserted in the "Comments to the Editor" field.
• The text conforms to the formatting and bibliographic requirements stated in the Guidelines for submissions and in the Editorial guidelines.
• The submission has not been published as copyrighted material in other journals (cf. Authors' duties)
